Normal day in Makati

It's a rainy Friday. I stayed inside my house for the whole day. And when I had the urging to drive up and catch some fresh air, I saw how heavy the traffic was. Talk about a Friday night.

My maid just told me how deep the floods are downstairs. I just shrugged. What's new? De la Rosa Street always flood when there's heavy rains. I had pictures taken last year when these floods reached chest-deep. I wanted to feature it here, but, I checked if I still have a copy. None. Oh, well.

Makati City is a nice place to live but it always flood here. Mayor Binay should do something. For about fifteen years of Binay rule, seems they have'nt really found a way to ease up flooding. And the traffic here is such a classic. Even if there's no rain, there's always some congestion somewhere here.

But, I love Makati. I've lived here for about six years already. Free movies for the old people, free medical checkups for all and nice climate. Except for the flooding and the traffic, Makati is an ideal place to brew barako coffee and smoke all day.
